Looking for Excitement?
Adventure Kayaking will provide you with a journey you’ll never forget.
Adventure Kayaking is well-known for our Exceptional Florida Tours. With numerous Florida Waterways to choose from, we offer something for everyone. From Beautiful Blue Cypress Lake with Osprey and Red Shouldered Hawks soaring overhead, to Scenic Canopied Rivers with small and large Florida Gators sunning themselves on fallen trees.
Kayaking the Indian River Lagoon is always an adventure. With an average depth of 3 feet, the lagoon waters are best seen by kayak. Paddle the still mangrove backwaters as osprey soar overhead- perhaps carrying a freshly caught mullet. Cross expansive grass flats and perhaps see the lagoon's top predator- the dolphin- working the flats.
Mangroves and sea grass beds create an environment very conducive to the marine life that support the osprey and dolphin, along with many other animals. More than 4,000 animal and plant species, including manatees, stingrays, sea turtles, seahorses, 700 species of fish and 310 species of birds call the Indian River Lagoon "home".
Looking For a Bahama Adventure?
Kayak the beautiful waters of the Abacos (Bahamas). Our base will be the 65 foot live-aboard motoryacht, ‘Miss Lori Anne’. This allows us to cruise the scenic chain of Abacos out islands and cover new territory daily. Enjoy kayaking over a variety of waters, including quiet Mangrove Trails, long stretches of White Sandy Coves, Overhanging Cliffs harboring an interesting array of marine life, Open Ocean, and Reef Areas.
Or how about a voyage to the Exumas (Bahamas) a string of 365 islands and cays that stretch across 130 miles of crystal blue waters. Explore Pristine Reefs full of a variety of fishes and corals, Quiet Trails through mangrove estuaries, cross amazingly clear Backcountry Flats where you can easily see Stingrays, Starfish, Anemones, Sea Turtles, Lemon Sharks and that elusive Bonefish! Wild goats may be spotted on a remote bluff.
On this trip we offer both Lodging at the beautiful Cut House, which is uniquely situated on a bluff overlooking the cut between Great Exuma, Little Exuma, the backcountry flats, and the ocean. OR, if you prefer: Camping, which allows us to explore the numerous uninhabited cays north of Great Exuma. We will cover approximately 50 miles of some of the most beautiful waters in the world. Pitch your tent on an isolated pure white beach and enjoy the stars with no lights of civilization to interfere.
