Cathy Townsend, your host and owner of the Inn, makes it her job to see that all your needs are satisfied. “Whatever your desire, we will strive to make your stay a memorable one. Our aim is to have you forget your worries and form cheery memories during your stay at the Mellon Patch Inn Bed and Breakfast” says Cathy. “Our cottage-style compound is reminiscent of a Key West-style guest house, while providing all the modern conveniences --a great alternative to hotels and motels”.
All four Completely Renovated Guest Rooms are individually furnished to provide an intimate, relaxed setting. The lobby is a work of art, decorated with pastel colored fish, pelicans, turtles and much more. Relax on the couch or sit in the massage chair while talking with new found friends. Sip on coffee, tea or help yourself to a cocktail.
Step out the back door to relax on the Large Porch, in the Hot Tub or take a Kayak, Canoe or Bicycle ride. On a cool night there is an Open Fire Pit to sit around and discuss the events of the world.
Out the front door and across the street is Pepper Park, One of the Prettiest Beaches in St. Lucie County where you will also find Tennis Courts and the Navy UDT Seal Museum.
Want to see the sights? A casual 12 minute drive up A1A along the ocean will bring you to the Charming Shops and Restaurants on Vero’s Beach. Or take a 10 minute drive south into the heart of Fort Pierce and stroll through Historic Downtown District. Enjoy the shops or have a bite to eat at the marina restaurants.
Both cities are jammed packed with fine restaurants or you can simply ask Cathy about eating in. There are Two Chefs on Staff at the Mellon Patch Inn who will be happy to prepare a special dinner or lunch for you.
