Run for the Turtles!


Calling all Turtle Lovers and Beach Goers!! Come join the fun at the 1st Annual Tipsy Turtle 2-Mile Run/Walk to help celebrate and kick off of this year’s Sea Turtle Nesting Season! This family-friendly beachside race for runners and walkers of ALL levels will take participants from Sexton Plaza along an easy 2-mile stretch that brings you past pretty shops and homes along stunning Ocean Drive, with sweeping views of the ocean at the Jaycee Park boardwalk. Kids ages 9 and under are encouraged to participate in a FREE, exciting and educational ”Hatchling Dash” on the beach! The after-race beach party and awards ceremony will be held on Sexton Beach with live music by Terry Dobson, refreshments, incredible raffle prizes, sponsor giveaways, race merchandise and lots of swag! This great event is healthy, fun, and educational for the whole family with ALL proceeds going to support the work of Coastal Connections, Inc. This is Vero's only all-volunteer non-profit focused on saving sea turtles and fostering connections with coastal wildlife to protect their habitats by providing engaging educational activities and programs.

Time and Place: Saturday, April 4th at 8am. 1050 Sexton Plaza, Vero Beach, FL 32963. The event will extend until 11am.

Packet Pick-Up: Pre-Race packet pickup will be available on Friday Apr. 3rd from 10-5 at Runner's Depot (436 21st ST. Vero Beach, FL 32960). Race Day packet pickup will begin at 6:30am.

Special Beverage Sponsors: Orchid Island Brewery and Mulligans in Vero will be giving back to CCinc on April 4th in honor of the Tipsy Turtle 2 Mile Race and beginning of sea turtle nesting season. A portion of all proceeds from that day will be provided to CCinc as a donation.
