Citizen Science Workshop: Fish Monitoring

Thursday, Jul 23, 2020 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Location: Center for Citizen Science

Category: Community

ORCA's One Health program is focused on studying the transfer of toxins and toxicants from the Indian River Lagoon to humans and animals. One way we do this is by testing fish from the lagoon and surrounding waterways.

One Health Fish Monitoring Citizen Scientists assist in collecting fish, as well as processing and analyzing samples in the lab at ORCA’s Center for Citizen Science.

At this workshop, volunteers will be trained to dissect and process fish for lab analysis.
