Free Bike Maintenance Class - Module 2: Wheels, Brakes & Chains

This is the second in a series of bike maintenance projects presented the Bike Walk Indian River County, Inc's Bike Rehab Project.

This class with cover the following topics relating to WHEELS, BRAKES & CHAINS:
1. Wheels - Truing; Replacing Broken Spokes
2. Rim Brakes - Rim Brake Type; Evaluating Brake Shoe Condition; Brake Shoe Replacement; Adjusting Brakes
3. Disc Brakes - Hydraulic vs Mechanical; Pad Evaluation, Removal & Installation; Rotor Issues; Caliper Alignment
4. Chain - Cleaning & Lubing; Checking Wear; Replacing Worn Chain; Chain Sizing; Working with Master Links

Anyone who is not fully vaccinated and boosted must wear a mask.

Classes held outside at BWIRC's warehouse.  Riding to class is encouraged so you have your bike with you.  If you drive your car to class, please park in the Dollar Tree/Staples parking lot across Commerce Avenue because onsite parking is limited.  It would be good to have your bike at class to help your understanding of the material being presented.
