Christmas 1944: Bastogne

Saturday, Dec 15, 2018 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Location: King's Baptist Church

Category: Theatre/ Performance

Walk through 14 scenes of horror and hope in the unfolding of the largest and bloodiest battle fought by the United States in World War 2. Our audience becomes a part of the story of two American G.I.s, their families waiting back in America, and the citizens of Bastogne caught in the vortex of a world war. The tension of D-Day, the struggle for meaning in Flossenbürg concentration camp, the tenacity of desperate soldiers in hopeless battles, the sacrifice of Belgian nurses and the indomitable spirit of an American general make for a Christmas like few others in American history.

Choose from one of eight nights, December 13-16 and 20-23. Journeys begin every 10 minutes between 6 and 9 o’clock each evening. This is a walking journey, so guests should be ambulatory. Because some of the scenes are particularly intense, provisions have been made for parents with young and/or sensitive children to “detour” those experiences.

Experience has shown that the first week is much less crowded. The event is free and no reservations are required. But you can get a fast pass in order to secure a certain time slot by going to https://www.christmas1944.com
