Educate & Celebrate 2019

“Educate & Celebrate” with Haiti Partners on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Grand Harbor Club, 4985 Club Terrace, Vero Beach, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

The evening kicks off at 6:00 PM with wine, cocktails, and Haitian inspired cuisine. Guests will enjoy the sounds of island music as they browse and shop for beautiful Haitian art and handcrafted items such as wooden serving bowls, jewelry, metal work, and so much more all created by Haitian artisans. A selection of art by Vero Beach artists on Haitian handmade paper will also be offered.

A unique selection of live and silent auction items will be offered including wine and cheese tastings, golf experiences, tickets to one of the hottest events in Vero Beach, and other unique gifts and experiences.

Haiti Partners, a Vero Beach based nonprofit organization whose mission, helping Haitians change Haiti through education, is led by Vero Beach residents John and Merline Engle. Through its Childrens’ Academy and Learning Center located in the mountains just south of Port-au-Prince, as well as six partner schools, Haiti Partners helps Haitians do just that - change Haiti - by promoting innovative, quality education and collaborative leadership through a school-based community development model. That model includes entrepreneurship opportunities which include Handmade Haitian paper and greeting cards, and “Merline’s Hot Sauce” made from Scotch bonnet peppers grown in the community garden at the Children’s Academy and by local Haitian farmers.
