Many seniors want to remain independent in their homes as they age. Private care can help achieve this goal. As our loved ones get older, extra assistance to accomplish everyday tasks may be required. Professional caregivers can offer transportation, prepare meals, provide light housekeeping services, engage your loved one in good conversation or provide a listening ear.
Home Health Care
Many healthcare treatments that once were available only in a hospital or doctor’s office can now be offered in the comfort of home. The goal of home healthcare is to provide treatment for an illness, injury, or post-surgical care to help you or your loved one recover at home. Home health care helps regain independence and become as self-sufficient as possible.
In many cases, home healthcare reduces hospital admissions and assists with a quicker recovery, and you can choose the health care agency you prefer.
If your loved one is facing a serious medical condition or a life-limiting illness, the VNA's hospice team can provide education, counseling, and nursing care at one of the most challenging times of life. The agency is also the only licensed hospice provider in Indian River County, offering end-of-life care in patients’ homes, local hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, and the VNA Hospice House.
The VNA believes every person should be treated with compassionate and individualized support. Which is why they listen closely, understanding your needs upfront to allow for a holistic approach to care, including clinical, emotional, and spiritual support that is tailored to you and your family.
Hospice care is centered on the entire family. A team is provided that focuses on individual care while offering your family all the support and help that’s needed. By bringing the care to you, patients and families can focus on being together.
The VNA is committed to building a strong and healthy community. The VNA cares about the community and wants to help ensure it is the healthiest place to live, work, and raise a family. Through community wellness programs, The VNA provides you with the tools you need to live a life of wellness. The VNA provides community wellness services such as flu vaccinations, no-cost blood pressure/blood sugar screenings, and speakers on health-related topics for local community groups.
