Sebastian River High School, home of the Sharks, first opened its doors to a 'New Tradition' in August 1994. Since then, the campus has grown to include first rate educational and athletic facilities. Sebastian River is an IB Program school. 

Rosewood Magnet School is recognized by the State of Florida as an 'Honor Roll' School. Their success is attributed to the many 'traditions' inherent to Rosewood's dedicated staff, a welcomed family atmosphere and a commitment to academic excellence. The dedication of both the staff and parents provides for a caring, nurturing environment and creates many opportunities for students to succeed.

Citrus Elementary, established in 1967, successfully participated in the pilot program of the Indian River County School District to develop a School Improvement Team. The school began by developing a vision and mission statement with input from parents, students and business leaders in our community. That vision is: "Guiding today's children to become tomorrow's leaders." 

Treasure Coast Elementary offers students grades k-5 an opportunity to enjoy a teacher to student ratio below the national average. Teachers and staff strive to provide a safe, fun environment that encourages students to learn and get the most out of themselves. The Educators of Fellsmere Elementary strive to instill a love for learning in a positive and safe environment. Teachers have a high expectation for all students and provides students with access to extracurricular activites including sports and theatre.

The faculty and staff at Liberty are all exceptional. The school employs a curriculum that is integrated as well as coordinated with all subjects. The students will have "Harcourt Reading Series", Social Studies and Science. All subjects reference each other which make a complete learning experience.

Beachland Elementary School has a long history and tradition of excellence.  Their mission is to create an environment where all children can be successful. They accomplish this by providing quality instruction of the Sunshine State Standards in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, art, media, physical education and music.

The mission of Oslo Middle School is to link learning to life by creating a formula that empowers young people to obtain goals by creating an academic atmosphere designed to develop knowledge, discipline, character and technological skill with the guidance from teachers, staff, parents, and the community.

Home of the Lorton Nature Trail. Named for Aloa Lorton a retired Pelican Island teacher who first conceived the idea of making trails through the acreage around the school. With the help of family and friends, Mrs. Lorton began her work on the trail in 1982-83 (when the school first opened). The trail has since evolved into an important outdoor classroom used not only by the students from Pelican Island and the local high school but also by members of the community for the purposes of studying and enjoying the scrub habitat.

The Indian River Academy is a firm proponent of high academic standards and consistently strives to further enhance the academic rigor and academic excellence at Indian River Academy Elementary. 

Built in 1925, historic Wabasso School is the only school in the Indian River County School District, that is located directly on US1. Nestled among orange groves on 8 acres, this school provides a peaceful setting for students and faculty alike.

The mission of the Indian River Charter High School is to give its students the opportunity to develop a new set of competencies and foundational skills that will help them enjoy a productive, full, and satisfying life. This school will be a high performance organization.

NCCS repeatedly scores among the top three elementary schools in Indian River County consistently earning an A+ rating from the State of Florida. NCCS is also ranked in the top 10% of all Florida elementary schools. The school has also been awarded the exclusive designation of “High Performing Charter School” by the Florida Department of Education based on academic success and financial stewardship.

Sebastian Elementary School is a State of Florida "A+" school. They have also achieved Federal Annual Year's Progress (AYP). Sebastian Elementary has a faculty and staff of just over 70 and has the most Nationally Board Certified teachers in Indian River County.

Through the use of an integrated curriculum and thematic units students are able to see the interconnectedness and importance of all curricular areas. Mathematics, science, reading, language arts, and social studies are interwoven to help students understand the relatedness of the disciplines.

The Dodgertown Elementary School team is dedicated to ensuring that each child has the opportunity to achieve his or her fullest potential. This potential is reached by providing an educational program which not only fosters the mastery of communication and mathematical skills, but also offers to each child the opportunity to develop the skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to engage in successful problem-solving, form and maintain positive human relationships, develop moral and ethical standards of conduct, foster mental and physical health, and to fully appreciate the cultural, scientific, and aesthetic values of life in the community and in society. They believe that these qualities are essential to a full and satisfying life.

GMS offers a gateway to your child’s future. Through the innovative STEM initiative that stands for science, technology, engineering and math, students in Project Lead the Way classes learn by doing high level science to solve problems. GMS students score above state average on science assessments at 57% proficiency, and have a 100% passage rate in geometry which allows students go on to excel in careers and college. An example of this exciting learning opportunity is happening this semester. GMS 6th graders are extracting  their own DNA, doing dissections of sheeps’  brains and completing a virtual autopsy.

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program at Sebastian River Middle School provides a framework of academic challenge and life skills for students in grades    6-8. This tuition free, three year program offers an educational approach that goes beyond traditional school subjects. Successful completion of the program will set your child on the road to success and can serve as an excellent preparation for the IB Diploma Programme currently being offered at Sebastian River High School.

Storm Grove Middle School is a green school that is being built with environmental concerns in mind. The building of a school in a greener fashion is new to our District, and the school is very excited and proud to be a part of it. The school’s Community Advisory Committee developed founding ideas for Storm Grove Middle School. These ideas were built upon the environmental aspects of the school and on today’s need for conscientious living within the natural world. 

Imagine Schools at South Vero is a free, public k-8, charter school in the School District of Indian River County. Imagine also offers a private, fee based, pre-k program. Enrollment is determined by the number of spots available. Glendale Elementary is primarily designed to serve the educational needs of children between the ages of five and eleven (Grades K-5). These are the formative years. A time when youngsters can develop traits of social adjustment and academic fundamentals in our ever-changing and complex society. The school provides varied activities formulated to guide each student throughout program at a rate conducive to his level of intelligence and interest. 

Mission: To support staff, students, and families to improve positive behavior with a focus on increasing academic achievement.

SCJH is dedicated to offering a quality education for students in a small school environment. Students are encouraged to participate in service activities which allow them to give back to the community. As a “mainstream” school, SCJH also offers services to students who have been identified as gifted and talented. A resource specialist works with students who have special needs.

Vero Beach High School, home of the Fighting Indians, has a rich tradition of excellence in academic, career-technical, extra-curricular, and arts programs. Founded in 1925, The campus of VBHS encompasses approximately 77 acres, which includes the Freshman Learning Center and main campus areas. The combination of school enrollment and the size of the physical plant make VBHS the largest high school in Indian River County.
