Golden Sands, with its long stretches of wide open sandy beach, is the starting point of the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge, a 248-acre refuge spanning 20.5 miles that is designated to protect habitat for what is the most significant area for loggerhead sea turtle nesting in the Western Hemisphere and the most significant area for green turtle nesting in North America. The park is open from 7:00 am to sunset; amenities include a playground, restroom facilities and showers, ADA beach access, paved parking and picnic pavilions. This beach is guarded daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. 

Turtle Trail Beach Access is located approximately 1.25 miles north of CR 510. Peaceful and private, this is the perfect beach to set up your chair and umbrella to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Amenities include paved parking and boardwalk access to the beach. Hours are from 7:00 am until sunset. This is an unguarded beach.

Round Island Oceanside Park is approximately 7.5 miles south of 17th street and A1A. Located next to the best manatee viewing spot in Indian River County, this park is best for those who love to experience nature. Enjoy a day kayaking in the Intracoastal then relaxing on the beach at Round Island Park.  Amenities include restrooms, paved parking, ADA beach access, covered pavilions, and a children’s playground. Park hours are from sunrise to sunset. Lifeguards are on duty from 9:10 am – 4:50 pm.

The premier sporting facility for the City of Sebastian, Barber Streets Sports Complex features baseball and softball fields, a regulation size football field, peewee football field and an open practice field. Additionally the Sebastian Skate Park is located in the complex, as well as a children’s playground.

South County Regional Park features four ball fields with concession stand, press box, restrooms, payphone; two tennis courts, two basketball courts, four lit multi-purpose fields, and playground with one play center, picnic tables with pavilion and open green space for soccer, frisbee and other outdoor sports.

Tracking Station Beachfront Park entrance is located between the CVS Pharmacy and 7-11 store.  This beach is a favorite of local surfers. Park hours are from sunrise to sunset. Lifeguards are on duty from 9:10 am- 4:50 pm.

Treasure Shores Park is located three miles north of CR 510 (Wabasso Bridge). This beach is known by the locals for its stunning sand dunes and wide open views. Amenities include a pirate ship themed playground, picnic tables, restrooms, showers, ADA beach access, and walking trails. The park is open from sunrise to sunset. This is an unguarded beach.

Wabasso Beach Park is located at the end of County Road 510 east of State Road A1A. This beach is a favorite for local surfers and treasure hunters alike. Amenities include restroom facilities, boardwalk, ADA beach access, picnic pavilions, paved parking and showers. Hours are from 7:00 am until sunset. Lifeguards are on duty from 9am - 5pm. 

Seagrape Trail Beach Access is approximately 1/2 mile south of County Road 510. This beautiful, secluded beach is a treasure hunter’s dream, many silver coins from the 1715 sunk Spanish Fleet have been recovered along this stretch of beach. Amenities include paved parking area with boardwalk access to the beach. Beach is open from sunrise to sunset. This is an unguarded beach.

Situated at the corner of US Highway 1 and CR512, Riverview Park is located along the shores of the Indian River and is the primary gathering point for the City of Sebastian. The park host major events and concerts such as the Annual Clam Bake Festival, Pelican Island Wildlife Festival, Sebastian Fine Arts and Music Event, the 4th of July Celebrations and the seasonal Music in the Park Concert Series. Riverview Park offers panoramic views of the River and recreational opportunities for everyone. Amenities include sand volley ball courts, picnic pavilions, and the two fishing piers.

Situated behind the Sebastian City Hall, Friendship Park provides an array of facilities. Amenities include four clay Tennis Courts, Horseshoe pit, bocce ball and shuffle board courts, playground sets and a youth baseball field, picnic areas and handicap play equipment.

Humiston Park is centrally located in Vero Beach’s Beachside Shopping District. Impeccably maintained, this is a favorite park for locals in town. Enjoy a day strolling the shops and eateries, relaxing on the beach, and taking the kids to the playground. Amenities include paved parking, restrooms, showers, playground, and picnic pavilions. Hours are from sunrise to sunset. Lifeguards are on duty from 9:20 am to 4:40pm.

Gifford Aquatic Center is a family oriented public swimming pool. The Center has a large walk-in activity pool and a children’s spray/play deck. The pool has a zero depth entry and the far end is only 4’6” deep. The pool is heated, there are six lanes for lap swimming, and the facility has a large multi-purpose room that is available for rentals. The facility also has a concession stand.

Located approximately 7 miles north of CR 510, Sebastian Inlet State Park is one of the most popular state parks in the southeast and offers some of the best surfing on the East Coast, boasting one of the most consistent breaks in Florida. Check surf cam here. This park also is a favorite for anglers nationwide who catch snook, redfish, bluefish and Spanish mackerel from its jetties. Other favorite activities include swimming scuba diving snorkeling shelling and sunbathing. Amenities include picnic pavilions, walking trails, fishing pier, campground, boat ramp, ADA beach access, restrooms and showers. Beach wheelchairs are available upon request. This Park has an entrance fee.

Wabasso Causeway Park amenities include a boat launch, restroom facilities, picnic tables, covered pavilions, paved parking area and canoe launch. Hours are from 7:00 am until sunset (restrooms only).

Wide open, sandy beaches are the name of the game at this popular Vero Beach. Located at the end of 17th Street in Vero Beach, this beach is a favorite among the locals. Amenities include paved parking, restrooms, showers, ADA beach access, and covered pavilions. Hours are from sunrise to sunset. Lifeguards are on duty from 9:20am to 4:40pm. 

Located at the end of Beachland Blvd, Sexton Plaza is one of the best places to catch a sunrise in Vero Beach. Sandwiched between two Vero restaurants and situated in the heart of Vero's Beachside Shopping District, locals enjoy stopping by the beach to enjoy the view and just relax. This beach is open from sunrise to sunset. This is an unguarded beach.

Gifford Park features 2 ball fields, basketball courts, children's park with play equipment, restroom facilities, tennis wall and courts, covered pavilions and a fitness trail. Gifford Park is also home to the Gifford Aquatic Center and Youth Activity Center. Hours are from 7:00am until sunset. Please call for more information.

Florida's premier swimming, diving and training facility located in Sebastian on CR 512.

Dale Wimbrow Park is located in North Indian River County. This park lies along the beautiful Sebastian River, and is a wonderful place to enjoy an assortment of outdoor activities. Amenities include a large playground, picnic pavilions, an event pavilion (reservation required), restrooms, boat launch, fitness trail, paved parking, fishing access, BBQ grills and pay phone. Park is open every day from 7:30am until sundown. Please call for more information or to rent the pavilion.

At this 7 ½ acre facility you’ll find all you need to keep your dog entertained and exercised. With watering facilities, sally-port entries and a small and large dog section, the park is complete with shade and picnic areas for owners. Park features separate small and large dog areas, handicap parking, drinking fountain, pond, benches, covered picnic tables, as well as a walking trail around the lake. Park is free and open to the public daily from sunrise to sunset.

This wonderful piece of green space was developed and is maintained by community volunteers and is free of charge for anyone to visit. Park includes separate small and large dog areas, doggie drinking fountains, shaded seating area, and plenty of wide open space for your dog to enjoy. So bring your best friend and enjoy the many benefits and events that this wonderful dog friendly park has to offer.

Donald MacDonald Park lies on the banks of the Sebastian River in northern Indian River County. Amenities include 29 primitive campsites (one site with electricity), an observation boardwalk, and restrooms with showers, fire pits, concrete picnic tables and the C-54 boat launch. The Park is open 365 days per year and camping availability is on a first come first serve basis. Donald MacDonald Ranger's Office also has a Multipurpose Room available for rentals. The Indian River County Fairgrounds, located on 58th Avenue approximately a half mile South of CR510 is Indian River County’s premier event facility. The Fairgrounds consists of a total of 139 acres and three primary facilities; the Ag Pavilion, which has 28,875 sq feet under roof with clay floor and lighted for nighttime events, the Expo Pavilion that has 20,000 sq feet with concrete floor and is also lighted, and the Expo Exhibition Center that is an enclosed air conditioned 20,000 sq feet facility available for a wide range of events. Amenities include office space, a servicing area and restrooms and 17,000 sq feet of open floor space. The facility is ideal for wedding receptions, dances, trade shows and static displays, and is available on a first come basis. A minimum 25% deposit is required to secure a reservation. 

Ambersand Beach is a quiet, out of the way beach located approximately six miles north of County Road 510. The Beach access is within the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge, a 248-acre refuge spanning 20.5 miles that is designated to protect habitat for what is the most significant area for loggerhead sea turtle nesting in the Western Hemisphere and the most significant area for green turtle nesting in North America. Amenities include an unpaved parking area and boardwalk access to the beach. Hours are from 7:00 am until sunset. This is an unguarded beach.

Joe Earman Island Park is located on an island in the Indian River Lagoon, approximately 1 mile north of the 17th Street Bridge in Vero Beach. Amenities include a covered pavilion, grill and dock.

Royal Palm Pointe Fountains are fun place for kids to play. Relax on benches facing the lagoon as the kids play. Click "More Info" for hours of operation.

Jaycee Beach is located approximately 2 miles north of the Merrill P. Barber Bridge. This beach is a favorite for families in Vero Beach. Wide open spaces and plenty of facilities make for a perfect place to have a picnic, party, or just a fun day at the beach. Amenities include paved parking, a park with wide open space, playset, covered pavilions, boardwalk, restrooms, showers, and sand volleyball courts. Hours are from sunrise to sunset. Lifeguards are on duty from 9:20 am to 4:40pm.

Kiwanis Hobart Park is located at 5790 77th Street. Amenities include two large picnic pavilions available for rent, children's park with playground equipment, basketball court, horseshoe pits, restrooms, shaded park with covered picnic tables, lake-side area with separate restroom and two ballfields close to the park.
