Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge - 119th Anniversary Celebration

Meet President Theodore Roosevelt at the 119th anniversary of the Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge - the country's first national wildlife refuge - on Saturday, March 12, 2022 only from 10am to 4pm

President Roosevelt will bring history to life and tell how he established Pelican Island as the first federal bird reserve.

Special events throughout the weekend include a wildlife display, walking tours and interesting fundraising activities that require reservations.
