Indian River Shores Public Safety is unique in that all its officers are triple-certified as police officers, firefighters, and paramedics or EMTs, and therefore can provide whatever services or security are necessary on a continuing basis. Police officers continuously patrol the roads and simultaneously function as paramedics, which translates to an average medical emergency response time of under four minutes.
