Greetings from the Cultural Council of Indian River County! Our mission is to promote the cultural arts in Indian River County through education, collaboration, marketing, and advocacy, as well as promoting cultural tourism through the popular and abundant arts and culture available in our county.
Membership Program
Over 300 artists, cultural organizations, and businesses benefit from a CCIRC membership. The arts drive tourism and revenue to our community. They bring our community together and keep our culture thriving. They are essential to a full and rich life.
Our programs include:
* Art in Public Places: Exhibitions in five venues throughout the county;
* Emerging Artists: Promoting new, young artists;
* Cultural Arts Guide: Distributed locally and statewide;
* Strengthening historical relevance through partnerships with the WWII Tribute and the Gifford African American Cultural Center and Museum;
* And much more.
Art in Public Places
Since 2015, the Cultural Council’s Art in Public Places program has been showcasing artworks throughout the county. Our five venues include the IRC Courthouse, IRC Administration Complex, the Intergenerational Recreation Center, Vero Beach City Hall, and Indian River Distillery. Local artists who are Cultural Council members have the opportunity to exhibit their art for public enjoyment in spaces that might otherwise remain unadorned.
