Plan Now to Reduce Your Holiday Stress: How to stay healthy and survive the holidays!

When you see Christmas decorations in the stores in October, you know that the countdown to the holiday season has begun. Here’s your chance to get useful tips on how to manage stress, stay mentally healthy—and survive the holidays!

Stress has become a factor in everyday life, and it usually ratchets up as the holiday season approaches. But you can do something about it.
On Saturday, Nov. 19, Anne Posey, licensed mental health counselor and Regional Director of Behavioral Health for the Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital, will offer tips and strategies to help reduce holiday-related stress at the Lunch Meeting of the American Association of University Women Vero Beach Branch. The meeting is open to the public; it begins at 11:30am in the Richardson Center of Indian River State College, 6155 College Lane, Vero Beach. The lunch will be catered by Wild Thyme Catering.

Ms. Posey has more than 25 years’ experience in behavioral healthcare, and her passion is ensuring that consumers with behavioral health needs get the best possible care. She has worked in residential, inpatient, and outpatient settings, as well as with child welfare and juvenile justice systems. She has championed and implemented tele-psychiatry across the Cleveland Clinic Florida region, allowing patients in mental health crisis to receive quality care in a timely fashion, resulting in better patient outcomes and satisfaction. She has been with the local Cleveland Clinic since 2017.
