Digital Artist Exhibition Art After Dark

The Vero Beach Museum of Art is hosting its second Art After Dark outdoor digital art exhibition, with an expanded list of sixteen new global artworks from seven different countries. The exhibition will be FREE to visitors and on view during the evenings of December 16th and 17th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

Brett Phares, lead curator of Art After Dark, worked with the Museum team to arrive at the final selection of international artists whose original works celebrate digital art in its many possibilities. Each night will feature the same artwork but different works from last year's event, utilizing the latest technologies projected onto the iconic white walls of the VBMA.

Outdoor projection art or digital art celebrates the possibilities found at the convergence of art and architecture. Artworks include illustration, experimental film, motion graphics, and large-scale digital video projection with sound.

Lead curator of Art After Dark, Brett Phares, commented, “It's great to be back at VBMA to exhibit a fresh body of artwork to the local community. This year, the number of projected artworks has doubled and the number of projectors has expanded too. Do see it in person: there’s no better way to experience important digital works by LIA and Jonathan McCabe among other notable artists, as the art adapts and reshapes the Museum as an open-space canvas. Admission is free on both nights. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. Food Trucks include The Flying Scot, Tavo's Tacos, and Treasure Coast Girls Coalition (TCGC). Cash only for the bar. Bring your lawn chairs.
