Celebrate Florida’s Back-to-School Tax Free Holiday at Vero Beach Outlets’ Family Fun Festival, July 29th

Back to school is just around the corner in Florida, and Vero Beach Outlets will celebrate the state’s two-week Tax-Free Holiday with a Family Fun Festival on Saturday, July 29, beginning at 11 AM.

Events for the whole family will combine fun and education, with several activities benefiting Coastal-Connections, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting coastal habitats for sea turtle survival by educating and connecting people to the environment.

“Vero Beach Outlets provides massive savings to our shoppers 365 days a year, but the addition of a tax-free holiday will benefit them even more,” said Karen Loeffler, Marketing Manager at Vero Beach Outlets. “We’re so excited to combine those additional values with events and appearances that the whole family can enjoy and learn from together.”

The festival will kick off at 11 AM with a Meet and Greet with Mermaid Serena, who will answer kids’ questions about life under the sea and take photos with the whole family. At 12 noon, Veri Beach Outlets invites families to explore a state-of-the-art Fire Engine and Police Vehicle and meet members of the Indian River County Fire and Police Departments, who will be standing by to answer their questions.

At 1 PM, author E.G. Yerian will preview her book Rayne’s (Wild!) Life Adventures, A Wildlife Warrior Series. Miss Yerian will donate 10% of the book sales at the event to Coastal-Connections, which will be matched by Vero Beach Outlets.

Teachers can benefit by entering a raffle sponsored by Coach, and through an Educator’s discount program from adidas Outlet Store, Ann Taylor Factory Store, Calvin Klein, Columbia Factory Store, Crocs, Jockey, Loft Outlet, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, Skechers Outlet, and Tommy Hilfiger.

All shoppers, meanwhile, will enjoy even greater savings. Consumers can purchase qualifying back-to-school clothing and accessories exempt from tax during the 2023-2024 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday, which begins Monday, July 24 and extends through Sunday, August 6.
