"MASTER CLASS" – Tony Award Winning Play

Master Class is based on a series of real-life classes the iconic opera diva Maria Callas delivered at Juilliard. It is a fascinating window into the soul of one of the most complicated and celebrated artists of the 20th century.

This Tony Award Winning Play by Terrence McNally tells the story of Maria Callas as she teaches a life-altering master class to students at an elite opera school. During the class, Callas encounters three students who are crushed, uplifted, and inspired by her artistry. With her caustic wit and surprising humor, she critiques their performances while delving into recollections of her own illustrious life and career.

This play is performed on the intimate Waxlax Stage.
