09-05-2025The Vero Beach Museum of Art (VBMA) has announced that American fashion designer and entertainment industry icon Isaac Mizrahi will headline its “Fashion Meets Art” fundraising event on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
“Isaac Mizrahi has been a part of our lives and a household name for more than three decades,” shares Fashion Meets Art Event Chair, Gregory Ness-Vasko. “He is one of the few whose name is synonymous not only with couture but also with attainable fashion for everyone. It has been a joy to see his legacy endure with new generations through his groundbreaking career in television, media, and pop culture. We are honored and grateful for Isaac to share his incredible journey with us here in Vero Beach."
Since launching his eponymous fashion label in the 1980s, Mizrahi has earned acclaim as a performer, host, writer, and designer.
Mizrahi hosted the Emmy-winning Isaac Mizrahi Show for seven years, served as a judge on all seven seasons of Project Runway: All Stars, and continues to appear widely across television and film. This year, the cult classic documentary Unzipped, in which he co-created and stars, celebrated its 30th anniversary at the Sundance Film Festival. Through his company, IM Entertainment, Mizrahi and his team develop original projects in television, theater, and publishing. His New York Times bestselling memoir, I.M., was published in 2019.
Mizrahi made his Broadway debut playing Amos Hart in the musical Chicago in 2022. His multi-week residency at New York City’s Café Carlyle, now in its 10th year, sells out annually. The New York Times praised him as “a founding father of a genre that fuses performance art, music, and stand-up comedy.”
Additionally, Mizrahi has directed productions for the Opera Theatre of St. Louis and designed for the Metropolitan Opera. He also annually narrates and directs the children’s classic, Peter and the Wolf, a production he created for the Guggenheim Museum in New York City.
Established in 2018, “Fashion Meets Art” has quickly become one of Indian River County’s most sought-after season events. Past presenters include Christie Brinkley, Simon Doonan, Jonathan Adler, Hal Rubenstein, Kim Alexis, Christian Siriano, Badgley Mischka, and Tim Gunn.
