HIBISCUS CHILDREN’S CENTER HOSTS BLUE RIBBON LUNCHEON & FASHION SHOW TO HONOR YOUTH
04-29-2025Over 280 guests came together for the Hibiscus Children’s Center’s annual Blue Ribbon Luncheon and Fashion Show at Oak Harbor Club in Vero Beach. With the inspiring theme “Say Yes to Hibiscus!”, the event served as both a celebration of style and a powerful show of support for youth in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Guests were welcomed with a festive champagne reception and invited to explore a vibrant silent auction brimming with irresistible finds—sparkling jewelry, stylish handbags, chic clothing, unique home décor, and more.
The highlight of the afternoon was our keynote speaker, Gretchen Scott. Gretchen is the founder and CEO of Gretchen Scott Designs. She is an accomplished businesswoman and her philanthropic passions closely align with Hibiscus' mission. Following Gretchen’s message was the fabulous runway fashion show. We were thrilled to showcase some of Gretchen’s beautiful designs along with several lovely boutiques - Cooper & Co., Frances Brewster, Gretchen Scott, Johnny Was, Loggia, Sassy Boutique, and Vernon Scott. In addition, Gretchen also hosted an exclusive cocktail reception the evening prior and offered a special shopping spree certificate to guests that helped raise significant additional funds for Hibiscus youth.
This memorable event was made possible by the tireless efforts of event co-chairs Cathy Cronin and Diane Wilhelm along with their dedicated committee. Their thoughtful planning created a beautiful day of enjoyment and philanthropy. Special thanks to our generous sponsors, underwriters, and supporters who continue to help transform the lives of teens at Hibiscus.
Every day, Hibiscus Children’s Center provides life-changing services such as education, healthcare, mental health counseling, and career preparation to youth in need. Events like the Blue Ribbon Luncheon are vital in sustaining this mission and reminding us all of the power of community coming together to make a difference.
