The Vero Beach Museum of Art is pleased to announce the 2025–26 Film Studies Program, a thoughtful exploration of cinema—featuring a blend of classic and contemporary films—led by instructor Diane Thelan.

This year’s Film Studies program offers five uniquely themed series, each five weeks long.

Film Studies 1: October 14–November 11, 2025
From Page to Screen: The Impact of Books and Writers on Cinema

Film Studies 2: November 18–December 16, 2025
Masterpieces, Models, and Muses: Reflections on What Inspires Art

Film Studies 3: January 6–February 3, 2026
Journeys on the Orient Express: Exploring Eastern Cultures

Film Studies 4: February 10–March 10, 2026
It’s All Relative: The Curious World of Family Connections

Film Studies 5: March 17–April 14, 2026

Films may be viewed in the Museum’s Leonhardt Auditorium or from the comfort of one's own home. Following the in-house screening, attendees can participate in a brief, optional “talk-back” session to share thoughts and questions about the film with classmates.

Courses are held on Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. Tuition is $80 per person per series for VBMA members and $96 per person per series for non-members.
