New Exhibition Showcases Recent Additions to VBMA’s Permanent Collection
08-20-2025This exhibition features a suite of 30 prints by leading American artists, entitled The New York Collection for Stockholm portfolio, on view in the Schumann Gallery, along with 20 additional works on view in the adjacent Titelman Gallery. All are recent gifts and purchases made since 2019, representing a selection from the Museum’s broader group of acquisitions during this period.
“Encompassing conceptual art, Pop art, early American landscapes, and more, the works on view reflect the Museum’s ongoing commitment to broadening its holdings and representing significant artistic movements and a rich array of perspectives,” shares Chief Curator Caitlin Swindell.
In addition to the New York Collection for the Stockholm portfolio, visitors can experience early American masterpieces like Dock Scene, Brooklyn, New York, 1862 by Regis Gignoux and Swans (Night), 1917 by Joseph Stella, alongside contemporary works such as Till Freiwald’s Untitled, 2004 and Anne Noggle’s Stellar by Starlight #3, 1985.
Recent Acquisition Highlights was curated by Chief Curator Caitlin Swindell and organized by the Vero Beach Museum of Art.
