New Playground Coming to Charles Park

Charles Park (2307 15^th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960) will be getting a new playground in 2025. The Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program (FRDAP) has awarded the City of Vero Beach Recreation Department a matching grant for a full playground replacement at Charles Park. Work will begin on January 2, 2025. The new playground will include two play systems: one for ages 2—5 and one for ages 5—12, a fitness climbing system and two sets of swings with tandem expression swings. The playground surface will be upgraded to ADA compliant Engineered Wood Fiber for ADA accessibility. While the walking trails, restrooms, tennis courts and volleyball court will remain open, we ask that Charles Park patrons please avoid the playground area during construction.
