Vero Kiwanis “Take a Kid Fishing Tournament”


Entry in the Junior Fishing Contest is free. Rods and reels will be provided. Because of the limited quantities of equipment, every effort should be made to bring your own. Bait will be provided to all participants. A parent or guardian must accompany all contestants. The participants will be fishing with bait and real fishing hooks. Contestants should register with the Tournament Committee between 8:15 – 8:45 AM. The Tournament will end at 11:00 AM and be followed by a free lunch at about 12:00 AM.

Prizes and awards will be determined solely by the Tournament Committee.

The Kiwanis Club of Vero-Treasure Coast was established in 1973. Its mission in our community is to help support children's education, activities and charities. Besides scholarships, our club actively sponsors Key Clubs in Vero Beach High School, Indian River County Charter High School, and Sebastian River High School. We also conduct community service work days involving Key Clubbers, have sponsored the Annual Take A Kid Fishing Tournament since 1991 and Youth In Action since 1998.
