Post 39 is one of the oldest American Legion Posts in the State of Florida; chartered September 15, 1919, one day before the National Charter was approved by Congress. The American Legion supports wartime veterans, widows, and children of veterans, and also supports many other organizations.You are eligible to become a member if you have an honorable discharge, and served during these dates: *April 6, 1917 to Nov. 11, 1918*Dec.7, 1941 to Dec. 31, 1946*June 25, 1950 to Jan. 31, 1955*Feb. 28, 1961 to May 7, 1975*Aug. 24, 1982 to July 31, 1984*Dec. 20, 1989 to Jan. 31, 1990*Aug. 2, 1990 to present day.
POST 39 - VERO BEACH - ACTIVITIES

American Legion Post 39 general membership meeting is the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:30pm. Please check membership eligibility above.

Lunch: Monday thru Friday from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Menu varies daily. Public is welcome.

Dinner: a different menu every Friday, 5:30pm, $8.00 for most menus. Could be more, depending on the meal. Live band starts at 6:00pm until 10pm. Public is welcome.

Bar Bingo every Saturday at 6:00pm, and is sponsored by The American Legion Auxiliary. "Lotsa" prizes and fun.

Breakfast every Sunday 8:00am until 12noon. $6.00 adults $3.00 for children under 12. Public is welcome. Sons of the American Legion meets the first Thursday of each month at 7:00pm. All sons and grand sons of members or deceased Veterans are welcome to join.

American Legion Riders meet the third Monday of each month at 7:00pm. All Veteran mortocyclists are welcome to join.

Ladies Auxiliary meets the first Monday of each month at 6:30pm. Check at the Post to see if you are eligible to join.
