Write a ReviewThe Clean Water Coalition was formed in 2018 by the leaders of several civic and conservation organizations who came together in common cause to make a collective impact to restore the waters of Indian River County.
One need only to read this year’s Florida headlines to be aware of the water crises all around us. Toxic Blue Green Algae and Brown Tide killing our coastal estuaries, Red Tide blooms causing massive fish kills in the ocean and high e-coli bacteria closing our local beaches. We must do more! We must take action to prevent excess nutrient pollution in our waters.
The CWC envisions complete restoration of healthy surface waters and an ecosystem teeming with diverse fish and wildlife: a place where we can take our families to swim, fish, and recreate without fear. We envision a plentiful supply of clean and safe drinking water for current and future generations.

Our initiatives:
- Restore the Indian River Lagoon – A good Investment
- Improved Wastewater Treatment
- Safe Bio-Solid disposal
- No-Discharge Zone for Boats
- Clean and sufficient supply of potable water for current and future generations.
